Such surety shall preferably be some approved general surety or bonding company. The bond shall be conditioned to save the City and its inhabitants harmless from all liability, loss or damage of whatsoever nature that may result directly or indirectly to person or property by reason of any act or neglect of any licensee, or of any person in his/her employ or working under his/her supervision, with respect to any work contemplated by the terms of his/her license, and that the licensee will abide by the laws, ordinances, rules and regulations governing plumbing work in the City then in force or thereafter established by proper authority. All master plumbers' licenses shall expire on December 31 in each year and may be renewed annually upon the payment of a fee in such amount as provided by ordinance.
