A. Codes Adopted: The International Mechanical Code, 2018 edition, and the International Fuel and Gas Code, 2018 edition, are adopted by reference by the village for regulation of mechanical systems in the village. One copy of said codes have been and are now filed in the office of the clerk, and the same are herein incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling.
B. Applicability Of Codes: Where any provisions of the International Mechanical Code, 2018 edition, or the International Fuel and Gas Code, 2018 edition, conflict with any provisions of this code, the provisions of this code shall prevail and shall be applied as the law of the village.
C. Amendments To Code:
Section 3001.2: Delete in its entirety.
Table 3001.2: Delete "Automotive Lift Reference ALI ALCTV"
Section 3002.4: Replace with the following language: "Elevator car to accommodate ambulance stretcher. Where elevators are provided in buildings, not fewer than one elevator, shall be provided for fire department emergency access to all floors regardless of rise.
Such elevator car shall be of such size and arrangement to accommodate a minimum 24 inch by 84 inch ambulance stretcher in the horizontal open position and shall be identified by the international symbol for emergency medical services (Star of Life).
The symbol shall be not less than 3 x 3 inches high and wide (76 mm x 76 mm) and shall be placed inside on both sides of the main lobby hoistway door frame."
Section [F] 3003.3: Add the following language: “. . . for new and modernized (existing) elevators only.”
Section 3004.4: Amend the last sentence to read as follows: "Field tests shall be conducted upon the completion of an installation or following a jump or a major alteration of personnel hoist."
Add the following sentence: "All miscellaneous hoisting an elevating equipment shall be subjected to tests and inspections as required by the AIIJ to ensure safe operation."
Section 3005.1: Add the following language: "This means is not to be used as a passageway though the space to other areas of the building."
Section 3005.2: Delete "Exception #2" in its entirety.
