5-1-10: VARIATIONS:
   A.   Generally: The Village Board may authorize the waiving of any provisions of this Title, or may grant a departure from the specific requirements contained herein, if any hardships or unique circumstances have been demonstrated in writing by the owner of the property in question. Consideration under this provision will only be on a case-by-case basis, in writing. Said authorization shall not be considered as establishing a precedent.
   B.   Design And Improvement Variations: Variations and exceptions from the design and dimensional standards and improvement requirements of these regulations may be made by the Zoning and Planning Commission cases where, owing to exceptional conditions, there are extreme difficulties or hardships in the way of carrying out the strict letter of these regulations. Resubdivision of a single parcel of platted block of an old subdivision shall be considered an exceptional condition meriting departure from the strict letter of these regulations. No variation or exception shall be made that will be detrimental to the public welfare, or that will adversely affect the Official Plan. (Ords. 79-2-5, 81-36-78, 92-11-45, 93-9-24, 19-16-66
