2-22-2: COMPENSATION, MEETINGS:
All appointments, except to vacancies, shall begin on September 1 of the calendar year. Members of the Liquor and Tobacco Licensing Review Board serve as of the effective date hereof shall serve until the end of the term to which appointed and until their successors are named and qualified. Effective September 1, 2019 a full term shall be four (4) years, and terms shall be staggered so that not more than three (3) expire each year. Such staggered terms shall coincide with District 1, 3, and 5 appointees to expire opposite years of District 2, 4, and 6 appointees. For purposes of this Chapter, such appointments for District 2, 4, and 6 beginning on September 1, 2019, shall have initial term limit to end in calendar year 2021 so as to initiate such staggered terms. Members shall serve until their successors are named and qualified. If a vacancy exists following the failure and/or refusal by a Village Trustee to appoint a member by October 1 of the calendar year, an appointment shall be made by a recommendation from the President with approval of the majority of the Village Board.
The President and Board of Trustees may compel attendance of any absent member and may remove any such member from said Commission if that member misses three (3) consecutive meetings. The removal shall be initiated by the President and subject to the confirmation of such removal by the advice and consent of the Village Board.
Each member shall receive a sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per meeting for every properly posted meeting attended, or such prorated portion thereof as shall represent the time served in a given calendar year, with a minimum annual remuneration of $500.00 per member if the member attends 70% or more of all properly posted meetings. This remuneration is intended to cover normal and necessary expenses of the member. Additional or unusual expenses may be covered as budgeted upon receipt of proper evidence of expenditure and approval by this Commission.
   A.   Regular Meetings: Meetings shall be held at every-other month on the 4th Tuesday of said Month, except that the Board may, by rule, provide for changing the date for seasonal reasons of in the event there is no pending business.
   B.   Special meetings. Special meetings may be called by the chairman or by any three (3) members of the Board.
   C.   Open to the Public: All meetings of the Liquor and Tobacco Licensing Review Board and its committees shall be open meetings as required under the applicable statutes of the State of Illinois and codes of the Village. (Ords. 15-17-66, 19-16-63, 21-08-41, 21-11-54, 23-13-47)
