10-1-7: REQUIREMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS ON DEPARTMENT MEMBERS:
   A.   Deliver Prisoners For Trial: In all cases where arrests shall be made, it shall be the duty of the police officer making the same to take the person so arrested before the court for trial.
   B.   Preservation Of Order At Polls; Political Activity Prohibited: On all general and special election days, it shall be the duty of the public officers or marshals to preserve order at the polls, but in no case shall they interfere for or against any candidate at any such election.
   C.   Service Of Process: No member of the police department, except the chief, shall serve any process except on command of the chief of police.
   D.   Frequenting Saloons, Playing Games On Duty: Every police officer and marshal is hereby prohibited, when on duty, from spending his time in saloons or public houses, or playing pool, cards, or any other games in such places. (1951 Code 3-4, 3-6, 3-12)
