The fire department shall be organized and the offices thereof shall be established and shall function as provided by rules and regulations and be subject to the control of the board of fire and police commissioners and the president and board of trustees wherein in each case it is made and provided by law. The chain of command shall be in the following order: fire chief, captain, lieutenant, engineer, firemen. Volunteer groups shall be directly under the command of the lieutenant. (Ord. 67-1-1)
