§ 95.33 ANIMAL RESCUER.
   (A)   The city will allow up to two additional dogs to be housed with an animal rescuer.
   (B)   To qualify as an animal rescuer, a person must submit an application to the City Clerk.
   (C)   This application must include the following:
      (1)   Name and address of the applicant;
      (2)   The applicant and applicant’s address must be registered with a national agency as an animal rescue facility;
      (3)   Proof that all dogs housed at the address are current with all shots and vaccinations;
      (4)   Proof that all dogs residing at the address are registered with the city as well as display current state and county tags; and
      (5)   A written consent to allow the increase in dogs from all neighbors. For purposes of this section, NEIGHBOR means all properties that immediately abut the property.
   (D)   Upon receipt of the application, the city shall conduct a review of it records and make any investigations to determine whether there have been any past violations of the Animal Control Code and that the applicant’s location is suitable for housing any additional pets.
   (E)   Violations of the Animal Control Code shall be a sufficient basis to deny any application.
   (F)   If municipal approval is granted, the applicant shall consent to and allow unscheduled Animal Control Officer inspections of the location.
   (G)   The failure of any applicant to remain current with all licenses, shots, vaccinations and registry, as well as to fully comply with city ordinance shall result in a revocation of the animal rescuer designation.
