The goals and charge of the Commission shall be:
(A) Recommend to the Mayor and City Council activities relating to veterans affairs;
(B) Promote veterans awareness and welfare in the city;
(C) Represent the city at veteran's functions throughout the community;
(D) Coordinate joint sponsorship of programs with city veterans groups; and
(E) Be a repository of educational information about veteran's issues for the city, recognize accomplishments of local veterans, assist veterans who may need help in securing benefits and, in general, be the knowledge base of veteran matters in the city.
