The Commission shall consist of 13 members. All commissioners will be appointed by the Mayor of the city with the advice and consent of the City Council. The Oak Forest Veterans Commission shall have the right to select its own Chairman from the members already appointed by the Mayor. Additionally, honorary members to the Veteran’s Commission may be appointed by the Veterans Commission but honorary members will not have voting privileges reserved for regularly appointed members. The Commission shall meet on a monthly basis, more often as may be necessary. They shall keep a record of their meetings and supply the same to the City Clerk.
