§ 32.098 COMPENSATION OF INJURED FIREFIGHTERS.
   (A)   Any full-time member of the Fire Department sustaining an accidental injury arising out of and in the course of his or her employment or in the discharge of his or her duty shall be entitled to his or her usual salary during the time of temporary disability, not to exceed a period of six months, less the amount received by the injured firefighter as workers’ compensation benefits or other income for temporary total disability paid by any insurer of the city.
   (B)   Any part-time firefighter, authorized by the Fire Chief, the Mayor and Council, who sustains an accidental injury arising out of and in the course of his or her service as a part-time firefighter, shall be entitled to and only to those benefits, rights and privileges set forth in any group accident insurance policy in force at that time covering the Department.
