§ 32.095 REPAIRS TO EQUIPMENT; BIDDING REQUIRED.
   (A)   The Fire Chief shall, whenever any fire engine, hose, cart or other apparatus or equipment requires immediate emergency repairs to be made, in order to avoid delay in keeping the equipment ready for immediate service, cause repairs to be made. The Chief shall immediately report, in writing, to the Mayor and Council, the facts relating to the defective equipment and the estimated cost of the repairs.
   (B)   (1)   Except as to the emergency repairs, the Fire Chief shall, whenever any fire engine, hose, cart, truck or other equipment or apparatus requires repairs, report that fact to the Mayor and Council, in writing, with competitive bids, indicating the amount and nature of repairs required to be made.
      (2)   If authorized by the Mayor and Council, the Fire Chief shall cause the repairs to be made.
