§ 32.090 INSPECTIONS.
   (A)   The Fire Chief or his or her subordinates are authorized to enter a building, structure or premises for the purpose of determining whether or not the building, structure or premises have been or are being constructed and maintained in accordance with the fire regulations of the city.
   (B)   The Chief or his or her subordinates shall make or cause to be made frequent regular inspections to secure efficient supervision of all buildings, structures or places used for either manufacturing or commercial purposes, or occupied or frequented by large numbers of people, and all school buildings, public halls, churches, institutional buildings, theaters, multiple dwellings and places of amusement, recreation or employment for the purpose of:
      (1)   Determining the safety of the occupants in the event of a fire, panic or accident;
      (2)   Examining the working order and repair of doors, fire escapes and firefighting appliances; the condition and maintenance of exits, corridors, stairways and fire escapes and their approaches with respect to obstructions; the disposition, quantity, arrangement and protection of stock, combustible material, rubbish, heating devices, ovens, flammable liquids and explosives with regard to safety from fires; and the protection of hazardous machinery, appliances and apparatus; and
      (3)   Ascertaining whether or not the fire regulations or the city are being efficiently complied with.
