§ 32.087 SUSPENSION OF FIREFIGHTERS.
   (A)   The Fire Chief shall have the management and control of all matters and things pertaining to the Fire Department. He or she may suspend any firefighter from duty, but he or she shall report the suspension to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners at its next regular meeting, and the reasons for his or her action.
   (B)   When the report is made, the Board shall take such action thereon as it deems to be just and right. Any firefighter so suspended shall not be entitled to compensation while so suspended, nor until he or she is returned to duty by the proper authority.
