(A) The Police Chief, Deputy Police Chief and the part-time police officers shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the advice and consent of the City Council. The Chief of Police shall have full authority to discipline or discharge part-time officers, provided any discharge is with the Mayor’s consent.
(B) The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall have the authority to appoint to the offices of Sergeant and Patrol Officer to the full-time Police Department, with the approval of Mayor and City Council.
(C) Part-time officers shall be subject to the direction and control of the Chief of Police at all times during the performance of their duties.
(D) Part-time Police Officers shall further abide by all rules, regulations, policies, procedures and orders of the Oak Forest Police Department.
