(A) All electrical installations provided for, installed and used in conjunction with private residential swimming pools shall be in conformity with the National Electrical Code adopted in § 151.007.
(B) No outside current carrying electrical conductor, other than provided by public utilities, shall cross private residential swimming pools, either overhead or aboveground within 15 feet of the pools.
(C) All underground electrical wiring shall be in conduit or of underground cable within specifications of the electrical code.
(D) All outside electrical appurtenances, such as switches and plug-in outlets for the underwater lighting or filtration system of the pool, shall be installed at a distance of not less than 15 feet from the pool and all such switches and outlets shall be of weatherproof design.
(E) All outside floodlights installed and designed to light the pool area and at a distance of less than 15 feet from the pool shall be installed at least seven feet above the ground, and installation shall be such that the conductor to the floodlights is installed in conformity with the National Electrical Code. Any outside switches connected with such floodlights shall be placed at a minimum distance of 15 feet from the pool. All the floodlights shall be located so as not to disturb adjacent property when being used.
(F) In addition to the other requirements of this chapter every temporary swimming pool shall be subject to the following additional restrictions
(1) The pool must be G.F.I. (ground fault interceptor) protected.
(2) The pool shall be maintained on a 15 AMP circuit.
(3) Only one extension cord, to a maximum length of 100 feet, may be used to provide electricity for the pool:
(a) For cords up to 50 feet at least 14-gauge wire with a G.F.I. shall be used; and
(b) For cords of 50 feet to 100 feet at least 12-gauge wire with a G.F.I. shall be used.
