§ 157.13 SKIMMERS.
   At least one skimming device shall be provided for every 800 square feet of surface area or fraction thereof. Skimmers shall be built directly into the pool wall and shall be located at least 30 feet apart. They shall adequately remove floating oils and wastes and shall meet the following general specifications:
   (A)   The total capacity of the skimmer or total of skimmers shall be at least 50% of the required filter flow of the circulation system;
   (B)   All skimmers shall be automatically adjustable to a variation in water level over a range of three inches;
   (C)   Whenever the water level of the pool recedes to a level that reaches the lowest point of overflow (the lowest level at which skimming action can take place), make-up water shall be added to an amount that will enable the skimmer to function properly; and
   (D)   The overflow weir shall be of sufficient length to maintain a rate of flow of at least 20 gallons per minute per linear foot of weir lip.
