§ 156.36 TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES, ANTENNA TOWERS AND ANTENNAS AS EXISTING BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES.
   (A)   Except as to the requirements of § 156.28(B) or as otherwise provided in this chapter, a telecommunications facility, tower or antenna operative on September 25, 2001 shall be permitted to continue in its present use as an existing building or structure pursuant to the requirements of the Oak Forest Municipal Code.
   (B)   Routine maintenance, including replacement with a new tower or antenna of like construction and height, shall be permitted for such existing facilities.
   (C)   Any new construction, other than routine maintenance, on an existing telecommunications facility, tower or antenna, or on the property on which such an existing facility is located, shall comply with the requirements of this chapter.
   (D)   Where the city has granted approval for the construction of a new telecommunications facility, tower, or antenna which has not yet been constructed or placed in operation on September 25, 2001, such structure shall be considered an existing telecommunications facility, tower or antenna as long as the approval is valid and not expired.
