There is hereby adopted as the Fire Code by the town, for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and protecting property from fire or explosion, that certain code known as the “Uniform Fire Code”, current edition, as recommended by the Western Fire Chiefs Association and the International Conference of Building Officials, except to the extent it is modified or amended, one copy of which has been and is now filed in the office of the Town Clerk for use and inspection by the public.
