(A) Authority to regulate; procedure; right of entry.
(1) The Town Council shall have the authority to set rules and regulations regarding cemetery fees and other details regarding cemetery maintenance and operations through this chapter, which may be amended as necessary for the efficient and safe operation and maintenance of the cemetery.
(2) The town reserves the right to enter upon any grave and to perform all work necessary for the care and upkeep of all lots and graves in said cemetery.
(3) Any changes in the rules and regulations shall be adopted by the Town Council before such changes shall be official.
(4) Every lot or single grave sold is subject to all rules and regulations that the Town Council may adopt through ordinance or policy and may be amended as necessary for the protection of lot owners and the remains of the dead.
(B) Traffic ordinances. It shall be unlawful to operate any motor vehicle within the boundaries of the cemetery unless authorized by the Cemetery Superintendent.
(C) Animals prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any dog or other animal, except dogs used by the blind, to enter upon cemetery property. Any animal found on cemetery property may be removed by the pound master.
(D) Decorum. Cemetery grounds are sacredly devoted to the interment and repose of the dead. Strict observance of decorum due such a place shall be required of all persons.
(E) Errors in opening graves. Under no circumstances will the town assume responsibilities for errors in opening graves when orders are given by telephone.
