§ 123.06 CABLE AND VIDEO CUSTOMER PROTECTION LAW.
   (A)   The Cable and Video Customer Protection Law (ILCS Ch. 220, Act 5, § 22-501 et seq.), as it may be amended from time to time, is hereby adopted by reference, and made applicable to the cable operators and video service providers offering cable or video services within the corporate boundaries of the city.
   (B)   Any amendments to the cable and video customer protection law that become effective after the effective date of the ordinance adopting the requirements established in this chapter shall be incorporated into this chapter by reference and shall be applicable to cable operators or video service providers offering cable or video services with the city; provided that any amendment that makes its provisions optional for adoption by municipalities shall not be incorporated into this chapter by reference without formal action by the city's corporate authorities.
   (C)   The city does hereby declare its intent to enforce all of the consumer protection and customer service and privacy protection standards of the Cable and Video Protection Law pursuant to law, with respect to any complaints received from city residents.
