(A) The "City of Oakbrook Terrace Public Works and Water Construction Standards Manual" as prepared by the offices of the City Engineer and Public Services Director, and amended from time to time by same such persons (hereinafter, the "construction standards manual") is hereby adopted and included as a part of this code.
(B) All water system improvements shall be constructed in accordance with the construction standards manual. The general construction requirements are specified and the procedures for having the improvements accepted by the city are outlined in detail in the construction standards manual. Various specifications are provided showing details for critical phases of construction work and details for certain material items which are approved and amended from time to time are included in the construction standards manual. The specifications provided in the construction standards manual shall take precedence and govern the design and construction work relative to any improvement to the water distribution system owned and operated by the city and to water service connections that may be installed by others.
