(A) Upon presentation of proper identification, employees of the municipal water system shall have the right to enter upon any premises served by the system for the purpose of reading water meters at the regular prescribed intervals or for the purpose of making inspections or performing work necessary to maintain such system in efficient working condition. Employees shall endeavor to make non-emergency inspections and repairs at such times as may be convenient for the occupants. If any person refuses to grant the above described right of access to his premises, his water service may be lawfully interrupted.
(B) No person shall make himself appear as though he is an official or employee of the city whose entry is authorized under division (A) when, in fact, such appearance is false and such authorization does not exist.
