The Chief of Police shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the advice and consent of the City Council. The Chief of Police shall serve for a term not longer than the term of the Mayor, or until the Chief is reappointed or a successor is appointed and sworn into office. The Chief of Police shall report to the City Administrator on a daily basis.
