The Finance Department shall deposit the city’s funds in such depositories as may be selected from time to time as is provided by law. With the assistance of the Finance Department, the Treasurer shall keep all money belonging to the city separate and distinct from the Treasurer’s own money, and shall not use, either directly or indirectly, the city’s money or warrants for the personal use and benefit of the Treasurer or any other person.
