The City Treasurer shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the advice and consent of the City Council. The City Treasurer shall serve for a term not longer than the term of the Mayor, or until the Treasurer is reappointed or a successor is appointed and sworn into office. The City Treasurer shall serve without a salary.
