Effective January 1, 2001, this chapter, entitled municipal telecommunications infrastructure maintenance fee, is suspended in its entirety until the village board, by ordinance, removes this section from this code, thereby lifting the suspension and reinstating sections 5-2-1 through 5-2-11 of this chapter. This suspension shall be effective for services billed on or after January 1, 2001; provided, however, that any amounts due or payable for any tax periods ending prior to January 1, 2001, are to remain payable as if this suspension had not been adopted.
