8-2-8: FIRE HYDRANTS:
   A.   Location; Cost: During the extension of an existing main line, a new fire hydrant shall be installed on the new line so that a fire hydrant shall be located at a distance not to exceed three hundred fifty feet (350') from an existing hydrant and each three hundred feet (300') thereafter. Cost of the hydrant shall be a part of the new main line cost. Special distance consideration may be made by the city council upon written request by an applicant showing unusual extenuating circumstances.
   B.   Prorating Cost Agreement: Prorating cost agreement may be made where extension passes property not to be connected at the time of construction. (1962 Code § 2-1-8)
