6-2-17: PROHIBITED ACTS; EXCEPTIONS:
   A.   Prohibitions: The following are prohibited within the city limits:
      1.   Beekeeping: No person shall possess, maintain or keep bees in the city limits.
      2.   Dogs: No single-family residence shall contain more than three (3) adult dogs and one litter of puppies under three (3) months of age.
      3.   Exotic Animals: No person shall possess, maintain or keep any exotic animal in the city limits.
      4.   Wildlife: No person shall possess, maintain or keep any wildlife.
      5.   Wolves And Hybrids: No person shall possess, maintain or keep wolves and hybrid wolves. Pure breed wolves are considered wildlife or exotic animals by definition. Hybrid wolves that contain twenty percent (20%) or more wolf breed are considered exotic animals. Neither qualifies as a dog by definition and may not be licensed as such, and any inoculations for rabies are not recognized as valid.
   B.   Permit To Keep Dogs: An owner of dogs listed under subsection A2 of this section may apply for a permit for the keeping of such dogs in the manner as set forth in section 6-2-3 of this chapter.
   C.   Exception; Medical Treatment: Nothing in this section shall prohibit any animal listed under subsection A of this section from being in the city while in the care and custody of a licensed veterinarian or animal care provider for medical treatment and on the premises of the animal care facility.
