5-3-2: STOPPING AT STOP SIGNS:
When stop signs are erected at or near the entrance to any intersection or railroad crossing, every driver of a vehicle approaching such sign shall come to a full stop before entering any crosswalk, intersection or railroad crossing, except when directed to proceed by a police officer or traffic control signal. (1962 Code § 9-2-2)
