A. Contents Of Notice: If the vehicle is appraised at over five hundred dollars ($500.00), the chief of police shall cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the city a notice of sale. The notice of sale shall state: (1962 Code § 4-8-9; amd. Ord. 544, 9-8-1992; 2014 Code)
1. The sale is of discarded property in the possession of the city;
2. A description of the vehicle, including the type, make, license number, ID number, and any other information which will aid in accurately identifying the vehicle;
3. The terms of the sale; and
4. The date, time, and place of the sale.
B. Publication Of Notice: The notice of sale shall be published two (2) times. The first publication shall be made not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the proposed sale, and the second shall be made not less than three (3) days prior to the date of the proposed sale. (1962 Code § 4-8-9)
