181.10 INFORMATION CONFIDENTIAL; PENALTY FOR DIVULGING CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION.
   Any information gained as a result of any returns, investigations, verifications or hearings required or authorized by this chapter or the Rules and Regulations relating to the subject matter of this chapter shall be confidential, and no disclosure thereof shall be made except for official purposes, which may include information to federal, state, county and municipal taxing agencies, or as ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction. Any person divulging such information shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Each disclosure shall constitute a separate offense. In addition to the above penalties, any employee or agent of this Municipality who violates the provisions of this Section relative to the disclosure of confidential information shall be immediately dismissed from the service of the City, or if such employee be in the classified civil service, proper removal charges shall immediately be brought against such employee and other steps taken in conformity to the Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service Commission and the Civil Service laws applicable thereto.
