(a) There is hereby established an Auxiliary Police Unit within the Police Department of the City, which shall consist of not more than 100 members.
(b) The Director of Public Safety shall be the executive head of the Auxiliary Police Unit, shall make all appointments and removals of auxiliary police officers and shall prescribe rules and regulations for the organization, training, administration, control and conduct of the Auxiliary Police Unit.
(c) The Chief of Police shall have exclusive control of the stationing and transfer of all auxiliary police officers under such general rules and regulations as the Director of Public Safety prescribes. (Ord. 59-1967. Passed 10-24-67.)
