(a) There is hereby established the position of Director of Public Service-Safety for the City of Norwood, Ohio effective January 1, 2002.
(b) The Director of Public Service-Safety shall perform those duties required by Chapters 735 and 737 of Title 7 of the Ohio Revised Code, such additional duties as imposed by the Mayor and any and all duties imposed by local ordinance or state statute related to the Department of Public Service-Safety.
(c) The salary for the Director of Public Service-Safety shall be as provided by Council from time to time.
(d) The Director of Public Service-Safety shall be an employee of the City of Norwood and for purposes of all employment related benefits shall receive all benefits as he/she is eligible pursuant to local ordinance and State law except those referred to in subsection (e) hereof.
(e) The Director of Public Service-Safety will not be subject to the five percent (5%) increase after six months, the cost-of-living increase or the five percent (5%) annual increase without the approval of Council.
(f) The position of Director of Public Service-Safety is an appointed, unclassified, non- union position.
