1331.10 PLACARDING.
   (a)    Placarding of Structure, Premises or Equipment. After any notice of violation required under the provisions of Norwood Property Maintenance Code (NPMC) has resulted in an order by virtue of failure to comply within the time given, the Code Official may post a placard in a conspicuous place at the entrance door or avenue of access of the premises, or structure, or parts thereof, or upon defective equipment. Such placard shall bear the following: An appropriate warning, that the building, structure, equipment or part(s) thereof is unfit for human occupancy or use; the effective date of the order, and a statement of the penalties provided for any occupancy or use after the specified date or for removing the placard.
   (b)    Prohibited Use. Any person who occupies a placarded premises or structure or part thereof, or uses placarded equipment, and any owner or any person responsible for the premises who lets anyone occupy a placarded premises after the specified effective date shall be subject to the penalties provided by Section 1331.99 .
 
   (c)    Removal of Placard. The Code Official shall remove the placard whenever the defect or defects upon which the placarding action was based has been eliminated. Any person who defaces or removes a placard without the approval of the Code Official shall be subject to the penalties provided by Section 1331.99 .
