Should any sign be installed, erected or maintained in violation of any of the provisions of Norwood Building Code (NBC), the Building Commissioner shall notify forthwith the owner, occupant or person in charge of property on which the sign is situated, by certified mail, sent to the last known address of the person to be notified or by personal service, to remove such sign within seventy-two hours from the date of such notice. In the event of noncompliance with such notice, the Building Commissioner shall cause the sign to be removed. Costs incurred shall be paid by the City Treasurer and the Law Director shall institute such action as may be appropriate to recover such costs from the owner in accordance with the provisions of Section 1305.10(k).
