(a) Board of Building Standards Authority. Pursuant to the applicable provisions of Ohio R.C. Chapters 119, 3781 and 3791, the Ohio Board of Building Standards shall formulate and adopt regulations governing the erection, construction, repair, alteration and maintenance of all buildings or classes of buildings specified in Ohio R.C. 3781.06, the installation of equipment therein, the standards or requirements for materials to be used in connection therewith, and other requirements relating to the safety and sanitation of such buildings.
(b) Superseding Rules. The rules of the Board shall supersede and govern any order, standard or rule of the Department of Commerce, Division of Fire Marshal, Department of Industrial Relations and the Division of Factory and Building Inspection therein, and the Department of Health and of counties and townships, to the extent provided in Ohio R.C. 3781.11.
(c) City of Norwood Authority. Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 3781.01, the Norwood Council may make further and additional regulations, not in conflict with Ohio R.C. Chapters 3781 and 3791 or with the rules and regulations of the Ohio Board of Building Standards.
