(a) Composition.
(1) Ohio Building Code. The Ohio Building Code (OBC) as published by the International Code Council Inc. and as modified by the State of Ohio and the Ohio Board of Building Standards shall be designated as part of the Norwood Building Code (NBC) for all buildings and structures except single-family, two-family and three-family dwelling houses not constructed of industrialized units. The current edition of the OBC as adopted by the Ohio Board of Building Standards is incorporated fully as if set out at length herein.
(2) Residential Code of Ohio for One-, Two- and Three-Family. The Residential Code of Ohio for One-, Two- and Three-Family (RCO) and all supplements thereto, as amended, shall be designated as part of the Norwood Building Code (NBC) for all single-family, two-family and three- family dwelling houses which are not constructed of industrialized units. The current edition of the RCO as adopted by the Ohio Board of Building Standards is incorporated fully as if set out at length herein.
(b) For the purpose of administration, the entire contents of the incorporated Ohio Building Code, Article I, Administration and the Residential Code of Ohio, Chapter 1, Administration are deleted.
(c) Additional deletions, substitutions, and amendments shall be as hereinafter set forth.
(d) It is the intent of the NBC to comply with all requirements of the most current edition of the Ohio Building Code or its replacement as approved by the Ohio Board of Building Standards as well as applicable provisions of the Ohio Revised Code. Additions, substitutions or amendments are made where necessary to comply with the minimum requirements of the most current OBC or its replacement and the Ohio Revised Code.
