921.04 USE OF ACID AND SOLVENTS.
   No person shall use any acid or other solvent, liquid, powder or other material for cutting lime, magnesia or any solids from the inside of the water service line unless such person shall dig down to the water main in the street to the ferrule cock; shut off the ferrule cock, disconnect the service line at the ferrule and disconnect service on the street side of the meter in the premises, then by means of a force pump or otherwise circulate the liquid proposed to dissolve the solids within the service pipe in a way that will completely and thoroughly remove the substance from within the water service line in a way that will not damage the service water line. When all solids from the water service line have been removed, it shall be thoroughly rinsed with clean water until the service line has been thoroughly cleaned of all traces of acids or solvents so that all solvents are completely removed and discharged into the sewer in a way that will not damage property being serviced and will not damage or litter the streets, or in any way damage the water service line.
