In case of the loss of a badge, the driver may file with the Director of Public Safety a sworn statement containing the facts of such loss. The Director shall thereupon notify the City Auditor, who shall deliver a new badge to the driver upon payment of one dollar ($1.00) for the first replacement and of two dollars ($2.00) for each replacement thereafter.
