(a) Upon notice by publication of the directive of the Chief of Police, no person engaged in gold or silver trade shall change, alter, sell or voluntarily release possession of any item containing gold or silver acquired or held by such person until the expiration of seventy-two hours after delivery to the Chief of a copy of the report as required by Section 721.02, except by the permission of the Police Department.
(b) No person engaged in gold or silver trade shall acquire or purchase any item from an unemancipated minor, under the age of eighteen years old except upon the written consent of such individual's parent or guardian.
(c) No person engaged in gold or silver trade, shall negligently fail to adhere to the reporting or disclosure requirements of this chapter.
(d) No person engaged in gold or silver trade shall negligently accept false information for any item required to be reported by this chapter. (Ord. 22-1981. Passed 4-28-81.)
