Any parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of a minor who violates this chapter shall for the first offense be warned by the proper officer and the minor shall be taken home. For the second offense under this section, such parent, guardian or other adult person shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor. For the third or subsequent violation under this section, such parent, guardian or other adult person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. A separate offense shall be deemed committed for each violation under this section.
