531.02 CURFEW HOURS AND EXEMPTIONS.
   (a)   No minor shall loiter, idle, wander, stroll, play, walk or run in or upon the public streets, parks, public buildings or vacant lots Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. of the same day, except as follows:
      (1)   To go directly and promptly between the minor's home and the school in which the child is enrolled.
      (2)   During the summer months when the school in which the child is enrolled is in recess for summer vacation.
      (3)   On any holiday, in-service day or other day when the school in which the child is enrolled is in recess or not in session.
      (4)   Any minor participating in a bona fide, approved work-study program is exempted from this chapter during the hours of such work-study assignment.
      (5)   Any minor who is beyond the age of compulsory school attendance and is legally not enrolled in school is exempt from this chapter.
      (6)   Emancipated minors are exempt from this chapter.
      (7)   Any minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.
   (b)   The provisions of this chapter explicitly do apply to minors who are suspended from school. (Ord. 13-2010. Passed 3-23-10.)
