Immediately upon termination of the compliance time allowed in any notice for the abatement of a violation under this chapter, the police officer, inspector of the Health Department or Building Commissioner's office who served or mailed such notice, or any other police officer, or inspector of the Health Department or Building Commissioner's office who is authorized to do so shall investigate to determine whether or not such violation has ceased.
