353.05 DEPOSIT OF COIN OR PAYMENT BY CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD.
   (a)    All parking is prohibited in any parking space where a meter is installed which displays a signal showing that parking is not permitted unless a deposit of a coin, or payment by credit or debit card application (app), is made as herein provided. During holidays coins and payment by credit or debit card app are not required to be deposited in or for meters. "Holidays" shall mean the following: New Year's Day, January 1; Memorial Day, the last Monday in May; Independence Day, July 4; Labor Day, the first Monday in September; Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November; and Christmas Day, December 25.
   (b)    Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year afer the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
