145.02 QUALIFICATIONS.
Each applicant for appointment as a regular patrol officer must conform to the following rules and requirements:
(a) Shall be a citizen of the United States and shall meet residency requirements of City of Norwalk Personnel Policy Manual Section 3.5.
(b) Shall possess a high school diploma, a General Educational Development (G.E.D.) certification, or the equivalent.
(c) Shall not have been convicted of any felony in any state or Federal court.
(d) Shall pass all examinations, administered or directed by the Civil Service Commission.
(e) Shall meet the minimum age requirements of Revised Code Section 124.41.
(f) Shall be able to perform the essential functions of the position of patrol officer as determined by the Director of Safety and Service.
