135.02 REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL COST.
   (a)   Whenever an individual is convicted of a criminal or traffic offense, other than a minor misdemeanor and such individual during the pendency of any incarceration requires medical treatment which is paid for by the City of Norwalk, such individual shall reimburse the City the cost of such treatment paid within 30 days of their release from confinement.
 
   (b)   The Director of Law may cause to be brought an action, in the appropriate venue in the name of the City, a civil law suit against any individual who fails to comply with the requirements of subsection (a) hereof.
 
   (c)   The Director of Law in the event he chooses to bring an action specified in this section shall request interest at the judgment interest rate in such lawsuit.
