SECTION 9.05. SPECIAL ELECTIONS.

A. In the event of a vacancy in the office of Mayor, when the unexpired term is more than one (1) year, an election shall be held on the next succeeding primary or general election.

B. Council may authorize a special election to fill the position, on a date determined by Council and the Board of Elections.

C. No election for the vacancy shall occur less than one hundred (100) days after such a vacancy occurred.
