1321.03 BUILDING OFFICIAL.

(a) The Mayor shall enter into a contract with a duly qualified person or agency, licensed and certified by the State of Ohio, to serve as the Building Official to enforce the provisions of the building codes and this Chapter.

(b) In the event the City shall establish a Building Department, duly licensed and certified by the State of Ohio, the powers and duties of the Building Official shall be assigned to such Department and the Building Official shall be appointed by the Mayor.
