927.03 GUYS AND GUY WIRES.
   Guy wires shall be installed where a line terminates or changes direction. Guy wires shall not be smaller than No. 9 galvanized iron, and fastened to an anchor placed in line with the pull of the pole line at a distance from the pole of not less than one-half of the distance it is attached up the pole. It shall be insulated from the pole at a distance of not less than six feet by an insulator similar to No. 504, and a similar insulator shall be placed at least eight feet from the ground. A shield shall also be placed on all guys to extend at least eight feet or over above the ground. Line guys, when anchored to a pole eight feet or over above the ground, need not be shielded, but must have similar insulators as a ground guy.
