901.02 SUPERVISION OF WORK.

The Director of Public Service and Safety shall supervise the necessary excavation in such street, lane, alley or other public place, from the point of excavation to the curb line, and the replacement of the earth or other material removed so that it shall be done in a proper and skillful manner.
